Create an avatar from a selfie

An avatar is the digital person you select when creating a talking video. It begins with one reference selfie, then Odrazio creates usable visual looks from that source. Open Avatars and select Create avatar to start.

Choose a strong reference photo

  • Use a clear image in which the face is visible and unobstructed.

  • Prefer even lighting and a clean background so the identity is easier to preserve.

  • Avoid blurred faces, dramatic uneven lighting, objects covering the face, and crowded backgrounds.

  • The upload screen accepts PNG and JPG images up to 10 MB. You can also capture a photo with the browser camera after granting camera permission.

Only upload your own likeness or the likeness of a person who has given you documented, valid permission for this use.

Create the avatar

  1. Enter a clear internal name. This is the name shown when you choose the avatar in a project.

  2. Upload a selfie or use the camera capture option. Review the preview and choose Change photo if it is not the correct source image.

  3. Choose Random looks or Custom look.

  4. Review the displayed credit message, then select Create avatar.

Random looks versus a custom look

  • Random looks generate a batch of four AI avatar images from the selfie: two horizontal and two vertical. It is a quick way to obtain multiple starting options.

  • Custom look generates one image with your chosen scene, shot type, and orientation. Choose it when you already know the intended format or setting.

  • For a custom look, select a scene preset, choose full body, upper body, or face close-up, select a horizontal 16:9 or vertical 9:16 orientation, and optionally add up to 500 characters of detail.

While generation is running

The creation view changes to a generating state and then opens the avatar detail page. Generation can take a few minutes. You may leave the page and return to Avatars later; the avatar detail page shows whether its looks are still being generated, ready, or need attention.

Use the result

When at least one suitable look is ready, open the avatar, select a look, and use Create project. This carries the selected avatar and look into a new project so you can add a voice and script.
